“Always will be”

On a cruise ship, somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean, I came up from downstairs and Marcella was sleeping. I woke her up for a moment that we spoke only a few words. I told her that the ship was rocking and the waters were rough, but she said that she knew that. I told her I loved her, and she went back to sleep. A thought came to me, and I walked out onto the terrace.  I was feeling the wind, and looking at the crescent moon. Then the words below came to me.

Always Will

The winds are howling.

The ship is rocking

Not the peace we had before

Foundation shifting

Yet the Moon softly lights

The dark night

The wild ocean

Like it did before

Like it always will

And you are with me

I feel you

Your breath

Your touch

Your peace

And you will be here

When all this calms

I know this

Because you were before

You always will be

The winds will subside

Skies will brighten

And we will walk in a glow

Hand in hand

Like we did before.

Like we always will

Always will
