Patrick's Heart Still Connected to Carlyn

Now, Patrick knows it won’t be easy to find the kind of love he shared with Carlyn. To be honest, he said he still talks to her every day. Can you believe that? In November 2019, Patrick shared with Closer, “I can hear her. I can see her. I know what she would expect of me, and I try and live up to that.” That’s such a touching tribute to their relationship.

Even though Patrick will always consider himself “a married man,” he told Closer that he listened to his kids’ advice. In November 2020, the Mistletoe Secret star revealed he gave love another chance with actress Linda Purl. Patrick told People, “I’m in an incredibly happy relationship. I never thought for a minute this would happen again. I never thought I’d feel this way again.”

Carlyn's Legacy Lives On

Patrick believes Carlyn would be happy to see him pursuing love again. He explained, “I feel, quite honestly, that it is keeping with the desires of my wife, the fact that we are intended to be happy. So when it’s offered, think about it, do whatever you do, but don’t let it pass you up if it’s the right thing.”
