Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell threw an unforgettable Sweet 16 party for their twin daughters, Dolly and Charlie. The event was nothing short of magical, and the entire family celebrated this special milestone with joy and love. Rebecca, looking as radiant as ever at 51, shared a series of photos from the celebration on Instagram. In one heartfelt post, she wrote, “Happy Sweet 16 Dolly and Charlie. Magical night. We love you.” The images captured the essence of the evening, showcasing the twins in beautiful dresses, surrounded by friends and family.
In another Instagram post, Rebecca expressed her gratitude to everyone who helped make the celebration a success. She wrote, “Hugs, kisses, and gratitude to all the fellow mom/dad support for helping me put together Dolly and Charlie’s Sweet Sixteen. Special shout out to my pals from The Enterprise 🖖 We were aggressively kicked off the dance floor repeatedly by the pip squeaks, but it didn’t stop us from trying.” It’s clear that Rebecca and Jerry went all out to create a memorable experience for their daughters, and the photos show just how much fun everyone had.
Jerry, 50, joined in on the fun by posing with his kids for a candid photo. In the picture, he’s wearing a black tank top with the word “security” boldly printed across the front. Dolly and Charlie looked stunning in their pink and purple dresses, dancing the night away and enjoying every moment with their friends. The outdoor area was beautifully decorated, setting the perfect atmosphere for a night of celebration and joy.

Jerry has always been open about his experiences as a dad, and during an August 2020 interview with Closer, he shared some of the lessons he’s learned about fatherhood. He joked, “I will say this – I was not expecting I would have to spend as much time with my children when I had kids. I didn’t know that this pandemic thing was going to mean that I had to be with my children all the time. They didn’t tell me about that.” His humor and honesty make it easy to relate to him as a parent navigating the ups and downs of raising kids in today’s world.
At the time, Jerry also revealed that his kids were taking drama classes but emphasized that he wasn’t pushing them toward acting careers. “Trust me, I would love for them to be acting,” he said. “I would love for one of my kids to be the next Hannah Montana and put a wig on and run around and be the next Debby Ryan … but it’s really up to my kids.”
Jerry shared a piece of advice he received from director Rob Reiner back in the ‘80s, which he passed on to his own children. “When I was on the set of Stand By Me, I remember my first day there was a scene and I was just standing in the back,” he recalled. “Rob Reiner came up to me and said, ‘Hey man, you have to be more involved in this scene.’ And I was like, ‘I don’t have any lines.’ He went, ‘Yeah, but you’re as much part of it as everyone else who is on camera … you have to listen to everything.’”
Years later, Jerry found himself giving the same advice to one of his daughters when she landed a role in her school play. “I saw one of the rehearsals and there was something happening on stage and my daughter was just standing there,” he explained. “I went up to her afterwards and I went, ‘Hey, you should be more involved in that scene.’ And she said, ‘Why? I don’t have any lines.’”
“It gives me chills just saying it … I was like, ‘You are just as much a part of that team as everybody else,’” he added. “And I just repeated to her what was told to me when I was her age 35 years later … [it] was really emotional.”
