Hey there, TV fans! Let me tell you about something exciting. Justin Hartley’s character, Colter Shaw, is back and ready to dive into another captivating case in the 17th episode of Tracker’s second season. In an exclusive clip from the upcoming drama series episode obtained by Closer, Colter steps in to assist Randy, Bobby’s cousin, with a missing person’s case in Reno that’s packed with twists and turns.
Let’s break it down for you. The episode titled “Memories” premieres on Sunday, April 20, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. In this episode, Colter, Randy, and a new character named Megan are retracing Megan’s steps after a night out ends in chaos. As they try to piece together what happened the night before, they decide to visit Lux nightclub. But, surprise surprise, the club staff isn’t exactly thrilled to see them snooping around for answers.
In the clip, Colter asks Megan, “This is it? This is the last place you remember?” Megan, looking a little unsure, replies, “Yeah, this is where things start getting a little hazy.” It’s clear Megan doesn’t have all the details, but they need to start somewhere. So, they head into the club to dig deeper.

Inside the club, they encounter Terry, a man standing behind the bar. Terry recognizes Megan and recalls throwing her friend Sonia out of the club the night before. He fills them in on what happened, saying, “Her friend took a bottle from behind the bar and threw it at another customer. Look, someone’s got to pay for that liquor.”
Randy, trying to smooth things over, pulls out his wallet to offer to pay for the stolen bottle with cash. Terry informs them that the bottle was worth $200. Randy quickly realizes he doesn’t carry that much cash with him. Colter notices his friend’s predicament and steps in to help, handing over the cash to make things right.
Colter explains to Terry, “Her friend, Sonia’s her name, she’s missing.” Terry responds with a casual, “Yeah, the crazy one. Haven’t seen her since.” At that moment, Colter looks up and spots a security camera on the ceiling. He thinks fast and asks, “You mind if we look at your security footage? Would that be alright?”
Terry isn’t budging. He refuses to let them see the surveillance footage without a warrant. Things get tense as Terry signals to two security guards to escort the trio out of the club. But Colter isn’t one to give up easily. He tells Randy, “I got an idea.”
This isn’t the first time Colter has faced obstacles like this. In previous episodes of Tracker, he’s dealt with being denied access to security footage. But Colter always finds a way—whether it’s hacking into the system with Bobby’s help, coming up with a creative solution, or calling on other allies like Reenie Greene for assistance. This episode is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
As the official logline for the episode says, “Randy enlists Colter’s services for his ex after her best friend goes missing following a night on the town in Reno.”
