Meet Jennifer Aniston's Dogs: A Family of Furry Friends

For Jennifer Aniston, dogs aren’t just pets—they’re family. Ever since her early days in Hollywood, Jen has had a soft spot for our four-legged friends. Whether it’s her loyal companions from the past or the adorable pups she currently shares her $21 million Bel Air estate with, her love for dogs is as real as it gets. Let’s take a closer look at her furry family members, both past and present.

Three Pups, One Happy Family

Jennifer, the star of The Morning Show, lives with not one, not two, but three lovable dogs. These furry friends aren’t just housemates—they’re her family. In October 2020, Jen welcomed a new addition to her pack: a white shepherd mix named Lord Chesterfield. This adorable little pup was adopted as a tiny puppy through an animal rescue organization. Lord Chesterfield joined Jen’s two other dogs, Clyde, a gray Schnauzer mix, and Sophie, a black and white pit bull mix.

Introducing Lord Chesterfield

Lord Chesterfield, or Lord C for short, is the newest member of Jennifer’s furry family. In an Instagram post back in October 2020, Jen introduced the world to her little bundle of joy. “Hi! I’d like to introduce to you the newest member of our 🐾 family….this is (a very tired) Lord Chesterfield,” she wrote alongside a video of the sleepy pup. The video showed Lord Chesterfield sprawled out on her sofa, a bone still clutched in his tiny mouth. Jen didn’t stop there—she also took the moment to thank the rescue organization, Wagmor Pets, for their incredible work. “A HUGE thank you to @wagmorpets for the incredible work you do. Grateful you take such great care of these rescues and find them their forever homes,” she added.

When it comes to Jennifer’s dogs, Clyde is the one who’s often by her side, even during her busy workdays. This gray Schnauzer mix is smaller in size but big in personality. Jennifer has shared numerous photos of Clyde on social media, capturing moments of him tagging along during her long filming days. From leisurely walks through the studio lot to riding shotgun in a golf cart between stages, Clyde is truly Jen’s work buddy. His presence in her life brings joy not just to her but also to her fans, who love seeing the adorable photos she shares.

Sophie: The Pit Bull with a Big Heart

Sophie, the black and white pit bull mix, holds a special place in Jennifer’s heart. Jen adopted Sophie during her marriage to Justin Theroux, making her a part of their family even before their 2018 split. Justin, a big fan of the pit bull breed, helped raise Sophie when she was just a pup. Sophie isn’t just a loyal companion; she’s also Jen’s TV-watching buddy. Back in March 2020, Jennifer shared an Instagram Story of Sophie cozying up on the bed next to her, watching The Bachelor. In the caption, Jen joked, “In last night’s news…Sophie is very invested in this.” Another Story showed Sophie looking completely captivated by the screen, with Jen commenting, “Riveted. Riv-e-ted.”

Remembering the Ones Who Came Before

While Jennifer’s current dogs bring her endless joy, she hasn’t forgotten the furry family members who came before them. One of her most cherished dogs was Dolly, a white German Shepherd she adopted in 2005 following her split from Brad Pitt. Dolly was by Jen’s side for 14 years, becoming a beloved member of her household. When Jen started dating Justin Theroux in 2011, he quickly became Dolly’s new dad. Her passing in July 2019 was a heart-wrenching moment for both Jennifer and Justin. Justin even shared photos of a ceremony they held together to honor Dolly, capturing her white fur adorned with colorful flowers while burning sage filled the air. He wrote a heartfelt caption: “Tonight, at sunset, after a heroic struggle … our most loyal family member and protector, Dolly A., laid down her sword and shield. She was surrounded by her entire family … Rest In Peace Dolly.”

    Norman: The OG Corgi-Terrier

Before Dolly, there was Norman, Jennifer’s first-ever dog. Norman was a Welsh corgi-terrier mix who joined Jen during her early days on Friends. For years, Norman was Jen’s constant companion, going everywhere with her. He even made a memorable appearance on her friend Chelsea Handler’s late-night show, Chelsea Lately. Norman was the ultimate "only child" until Dolly came along. After a long and loving life, Norman passed away in 2011 at the age of 15, leaving a lasting legacy in Jennifer’s heart.
