Let’s talk about Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa—they’re ready to shake things up and find their dream home! The couple, who are currently living in Newport Beach, California, have decided it’s time to move out of their cozy beach house and into something more spacious. Heather, 37, spilled the tea in a recent interview with Hello! Magazine, saying, "We’re looking to move and buy a new house.”

She went on to explain, “We live at the beach right now, and while it’s been an incredible experience, we’re ready for something with a backyard. We’re kind of tight on space, and we don’t know what’s to come, but 2025 is shaping up to be a year full of exciting new beginnings for us!” Heather’s enthusiasm is palpable, and it’s clear that this move is more than just a house change—it’s a lifestyle adjustment.

Why They’re Ready for a Change

Tarek, 43, and Heather have been living in their 3,000-square-foot home in Newport Beach, but it seems like the space is no longer cutting it for their growing family. They welcomed their son, Tristan Jay El Moussa, on January 31, 2023, and it’s time to make room for him to grow and explore. Heather shared in the same interview, “We’re kind of outgrowing this place. We need more space, especially for Tristan. He’s a bundle of energy and needs room to run around.”

Tarek, known for his work on Flipping 101, added, “2025 is going to bring a lot of new things for us, so we’re just excited to embrace it. Moving to a new home feels like the next natural step in our journey as a family.”

Designing Tristan's Nursery

When it came to designing Tristan’s nursery, Tarek and Heather were meticulous. They wanted to create a space that felt luxurious yet cozy. Heather shared on Instagram, “Tarek and I have been dreaming about what we wanted his nursery to look like for months, and I’m so lucky to have found @babyletto to help make our vision a reality. We were so specific in choosing these pieces and wanted his room to have a lot of luxe blacks, whites, and neutrals (like the rest of our house) while still feeling warm and inviting. Everything from Babyletto could not have been more perfect.”

Heather also revealed to Access Hollywood that her love for elephants inspired some of the decor. “I’ve always loved elephants, so as soon as we found out we were having a baby, I knew the room had to have elephants,” she said. “It’s such a meaningful symbol for us, and it adds a playful touch to the room.”

Being a Dad: Tarek’s Journey

In July, Tarek took a moment to reflect on his journey as a dad to Tristan. He posted a heartfelt caption on Instagram, saying, “My little dude is almost a year and a half old. Looking back at some of the memories, I truly can’t believe he’s such a big boy. He has a special soul and brings so much fun to our lives. He’s curious about everything, he has a TON of energy, and he can already throw a ball with speed and accuracy. And I am just so excited to get him into sports! Dada loves you Tristan Bear!”

Tarek also shares two other children, Taylor and Brayden, with his ex-wife Christina Hall. Christina, who is currently going through a divorce with her husband Josh Hall, remains a close part of Tarek’s life, especially as they work on their upcoming show The Flip Off.

Looking Ahead: Exciting Projects on the Horizon

Tarek and Heather are not just focused on finding their dream home—they’re also buzzing with excitement about their upcoming projects. Tarek shared, “You know The Flip Off, it is coming out next year, but before The Flip Off is Season 2 of our show, The Flipping El Moussas, and we are just so excited about that show. And there actually are a few properties that we did in Anaheim, so you guys are gonna get to see those.”

Initially, Josh was supposed to be part of The Flip Off, but due to his ongoing divorce from Christina, the show moved forward without him. Christina was spotted on set solo in August, a month after filing for divorce from Josh.
