Jeff Mauro shot to stardom when he clinched the crown on season 7 of Food Network Star back in 2011. While his professional life revolves around whipping up mouthwatering dishes on The Kitchen, he treasures the moments he spends at his cozy home in Chicago with his amazing family. This beloved chef frequently shares glimpses of his charming abode on social media, where he lives with his wife, Sarah, and their son, Lorenzo.
Jeff's home is nestled in River Forest, a serene suburban neighborhood in Chicago. The host of Sandwich King grew up nearby in Elmwood Park and has always been a vocal advocate for local eateries he adores. These days, with his thriving food business, Mauro Provisions, his schedule is packed. Yet, he's always been a devoted family man. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, both Sarah and Lorenzo pitched in to help film episodes of The Kitchen right from their living room.
“Cutting out all the constant travel has been a game-changer for me. It feels incredible to wake up in my own bed every morning instead of a different hotel room three or four times a week,” Jeff shared during a May 2020 interview. “Of course, I’m still busy, but now my family is my production crew, and I couldn’t ask for a better team.”

Jeff loves involving Sarah and Lorenzo in his work, whether it’s testing out new recipes or making a surprise appearance on camera. This Emmy-nominated chef, who once moonlighted as a stand-up comedian, prioritizes family above all else.
“I always ask Lorenzo: are you sure you want to be part of this? But I love doing this because it allows me to include my family. I’m not an actor who disappears for six months to film on location—I get to bring them along for the ride,” Jeff confided to Chicago Parent in July 2018.
Several design elements in the Mauro household were inspired by Lorenzo, a budding musician. He attends the School of Rock in Oak Park and plays the drums with passion. At home, you’ll often catch Lorenzo jamming on his drum set, which frequently makes appearances in his dad’s Instagram videos. Beyond drumming, Lorenzo also helps his parents deck out the house for the holidays, adding a personal touch to every celebration.
Food Network fans adore Jeff for his energetic demeanor and sharp sense of humor, and it’s no surprise that his home mirrors his vibrant personality. From the striking black and white checkered pig statue that stands proudly next to the Christmas tree to the bold geometric patterned wallpaper, every corner of the house tells a story. It’s a space that’s as colorful and inviting as the man who calls it home.
