Ashley and Michael's story began in 2008 when they crossed paths at Texas A&M University at Galveston. Though they initially started as friends, their bond deepened over the years. It wasn’t until 2011 that their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship. From the very beginning, Ashley had a clear vision for their future together.

“After just two months of dating, I convinced him that we were going to move to Galveston and buy a home,” Ashley recalled during a July 2017 interview with Texas A&M Today. “The next day, we found the house. We live our lives very spontaneously, making decisions on the fly.” That kind of fearless approach has clearly worked wonders for them.

In 2014, the couple tied the knot, marking the beginning of their life together as husband and wife. The following year, they founded Save1900, a company dedicated to saving historic homes in Galveston from demolition. Their efforts didn't go unnoticed, and HGTV soon approached them to create a show centered around their mission. Initially titled Big Texas Fix, the series eventually became Restoring Galveston, which found a home on Magnolia Network.

Still Going Strong: Are Ashley and Michael Still Together?

The answer is a resounding yes! Ashley and Michael's marriage remains as strong as ever. In April 2022, they celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary, proving that their bond is built to last. The couple also shared some insightful advice for others navigating the challenges of working together in the home improvement field.

“Give into each other’s strengths, more than anything,” Michael explained in a September 2020 interview with Click2Houston.com. “Even though I love my design ideas, I’m willing to concede if she has a better one. Ashley gives me some leeway on carpentry and other technical aspects, and that balance is key to our success.”

Their willingness to take risks has defined their lives both personally and professionally. Ashley reflected on this, saying, “Every day, our life has transformed because of the crazy risks we’ve taken. It’s been a journey of asking ourselves, ‘Can we do this?’ and then diving in headfirst.”

In August 2023, the couple decided to renew their vows, celebrating their love with a beautiful ceremony nine years after their initial wedding.

“We focused so much on finishing this space that all wedding details were mostly planned just two days before,” Ashley wrote on Instagram. “We pulled off nothing short of a miracle with the help of so many friends and vendors. We’re so grateful to our people!”

Family Life: How Many Kids Do Ashley and Michael Have?

Ashley and Michael are proud parents to three beautiful daughters. Their eldest, Elle, was born in November 2019, followed by Emma in May 2021. Both girls have made appearances on Restoring Galveston, something the couple cherishes deeply.

“We completely forget about all the hard days when we have moments like this,” they wrote in a June 2022 post featuring their daughters at the beach. “Our life is being documented, and the best part will be watching the girls grow up.”

In March 2023, Ashley and Michael quietly welcomed their youngest daughter, Emory. They shared the joyful news with their followers, showcasing their family's ever-growing bond.
