Since she rose to fame as the lovable best friend in hit rom-coms like 13 Going on 30 and The Wedding Planner, Judy Greer has become a household name. “My husband always tells me, ‘You’re not America’s Sweetheart — you’re America’s Best Friend!’” Judy Greer, 44, jokes in an exclusive interview with Closer Weekly. This playful banter is just the tip of the iceberg for the talented actress, who has carved out a niche for herself in Hollywood with her quirky charm and relatable personality.
Judy admits that her on-screen persona often mirrors her real-life traits. "I’ve always been the kind of person who can drop everything to help someone, which is why I often find myself in rom-coms saying things like, ‘Why are you being such an idiot?’" she quips, adding that her friends agree she’s great at dishing out advice. Since tying the knot with producer Dean E. Johnsen in 2012, Judy has embraced her role as a stepmom to his children, Lucas, 19, and Emilee, 25. "Stepparenting has been an incredible journey. There was definitely a learning curve, but it’s been such a joy," she shares.
