Actor Justin Hartley is giving fans a glimpse into his personal life with his wife and Tracker co-star Sofia Pernas. The couple, who share a busy professional life, find unique ways to bond and enjoy their time together at home in California.
In a recent chat with USA Today, Justin, who’s 48, shared some heartfelt words about working alongside Sofia on Tracker. Their characters, Colter Shaw and Billie Matalon, share a dynamic that’s both intense and romantic. "I wouldn’t necessarily call it a classic love story," Justin said, "but there’s definitely a spark between them. It’s electric, and I genuinely enjoy being around Sofia. This show is a dream come true, and sharing it with someone I love makes it even more special."
When it comes to unwinding, Justin and Sofia don’t need to go far. They’ve transformed their California home into a personal theater experience, complete with surround sound and a big screen. "We turn off the lights, crank up the sound, and immerse ourselves in our favorite shows," Justin revealed. "That’s how these shows are meant to be enjoyed—fully engaged, no distractions. It’s our way of connecting, even if it’s just the two of us."

Both Justin and Sofia are big supporters of their acting peers. They make it a point to watch shows featuring their friends, like Justin’s former This Is Us co-star Sterling K. Brown’s Hulu series Paradise. However, with their hectic schedules, sometimes they have to watch solo. "It doesn’t bother me if Sofia watches six episodes of something without me," Justin admitted. "We just catch up later and share our thoughts."
While Justin and Sofia don’t have children together, they do have a beloved goldendoodle named Paisley, who keeps them on their toes. Justin also shares a daughter, Isabella Justice Hartley, from his previous marriage to Lindsay Korman. Their relationship ended in 2012 after eight years together.
Another favorite pastime for Justin and Sofia is hitting the road to visit MLB stadiums. "We’ve got this high-maintenance dog that doesn’t travel by air, so we load Paisley into the car and drive," Justin explained. "It’s a great excuse to explore the country, experience different cultures, and enjoy some baseball along the way. There’s something magical about the game that brings us closer."
Justin and Sofia’s professional relationship began in 2015 when they worked together on an episode of The Young and the Restless. Their collaboration continued when Sofia joined Tracker during its second season. "Playing opposite Sofia is fascinating," Justin told Gayle King on CBS Mornings. "Her character has a complicated past with Colter, and she adds depth to every scene. It’s a safe space to explore those dynamics, and Sofia’s incredible talent makes it all the more compelling."
He added, "Later in the season, Sofia’s character returns to help Colter in a major way. It’s emotional and intense—she truly puts herself on the line for him. It’s one of those moments that will stick with viewers long after the episode ends."
Justin and Sofia officially became a couple in 2021, tying the knot shortly after Justin’s divorce from his second wife, Chrishell Stause, was finalized. "It was simple but perfect," Justin recalled during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "We had a justice of the peace come over, and we even got out of the pool to say our vows in our bathing suits. It was the most memorable day of my life."
