In April 1994, they tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony held at Wayne's former Casa de Shenandoah estate in Nevada. It was a perfect start to their lifelong journey together.

As life moved forward, Wayne and Kathleen decided to sell their 39.5-acre property after living there for many years. Kathleen has always been Wayne's rock, encouraging him to return to the Las Vegas stage after a five-year hiatus. In 2016, Wayne opened up to Closer about how Kathleen inspired him to get back on stage. "One day, my wife asked me what was wrong," Wayne shared. "I said, 'You know, I kind of miss being on stage and having the things happen that can only happen there.'"

"I don’t see myself retiring," Wayne added. "I’ve never been happier or felt better. So, with those things going for me, I hope this will continue—for another week or two, anyway!"

As they approached their 25th wedding anniversary, Wayne couldn’t help but express his happiness in both his marriage and career. "We’re going to renew our vows," he told Closer in November 2018. "We’re either going to do it in Hawaii or in Rome at the Vatican." Wayne and Kathleen clearly share a bond that continues to grow stronger with each passing year.

Kathleen and Wayne also enjoy cozy nights at home in their stunning Nevada home. "The reason we stay home on date nights is because otherwise I would be sitting there while he took pictures or signed autographs for people because he never says no," Kathleen explained.
