It feels like just yesterday when Chelsea Clinton, mom of three, welcomed her newest bundle of joy, Jasper, alongside her husband, Marc Mezvinsky. This addition to their family has brought immense joy and love to their household. In a heartfelt tweet back in July, Chelsea expressed her overflowing emotions: “This morning we welcomed our son, Jasper Clinton Mezvinsky. We are overflowing with love and gratitude and can’t wait to introduce him to his big sister and brother.”
Since Jasper's arrival, the Clintons' only daughter, Hillary and Bill Clinton, has been filled with a boundless amount of love. Chelsea is not only a proud mother to Jasper but also takes care of her two older children, Charlotte, who is 5, and Aidan, who is 3, with Marc. One of the key lessons Chelsea aims to instill in her children is awareness.
Chelsea has always believed in the importance of keeping her kids informed about the world around them. In a previous conversation with the Los Angeles Times, she explained her reasoning behind making Charlotte aware of the policies shaping America. “It just feels necessary,” Chelsea shared. “Because I want her to know what’s happening in our country, particularly as it relates to kids.”

Residing in the bustling city of New York, Chelsea often engages Charlotte in discussions about the events she might encounter in her daily life. Chelsea mentioned how she talks to Charlotte about the things she could see while living in New York City. “When I hear on the radio in the morning that there are reports of ICE at a subway station near where we live, very close to one that she was going to get on later to go to a dance class, I spoke to her over breakfast that morning about how if she saw people who were coming onto the subway, what does that mean?” Chelsea revealed.
She acknowledged that Charlotte might not fully grasp every detail, especially complex issues like child separations, but Chelsea believes in planting the seeds early. “I don’t expect her at 4 to do anything about that, but I do think part of being a citizen is standing up to speech and behavior that we don’t agree with and that we don’t think is appropriate,” Chelsea added.
