Becoming a Mom for the First Time

Daphne’s journey into motherhood began in February 2014 when she welcomed her first child, Philomena. Looking back, Daphne revealed in an interview with People in December 2013 that she and John decided to keep the baby’s gender a surprise until the birth. “We were so excited to become parents,” she shared. “Having a child made our relationship stronger, more meaningful, and so much better.” Philomena quickly became the center of their world, setting the stage for the family’s future growth.

Welcoming Jovan: A New Addition to the Family

The family expanded further in October 2015 when Daphne and John welcomed their son, Jovan. “Daphne and I feel extremely blessed with this new addition to our family,” John said in a statement. “Philomena was thrilled to bring her little brother home.” Jovan’s arrival brought even more joy and excitement, solidifying the family’s dynamic as they adjusted to life with two children.

Expanding the Family Again

Daphne and John weren’t done growing their family. In December 2017, they welcomed their third child, daughter Domenica. Two years later, in August 2019, Giovanna joined the family, officially making them a party of six. While juggling her career as a television host and raising four children can be challenging, Daphne approaches it with grace and determination. “My career is different from most jobs—it’s cyclical, and right now, it’s incredibly intense,” she told Closer in March 2022. “I may not have the perfect balance, but I love what I do, and sharing that passion with my kids makes them happy. It’s all about making every moment count.”

Furry Friend Joins the Family

In February 2021, the Oz family added a new member—a puppy named Luca Brownie Bruno. Daphne joked that getting a puppy feels like “the newborn stage but without diapers and much sharper teeth.” Despite the challenges, Luca has become a cherished part of the family. “Walking the dog gives us a chance to soak up some alone time,” Daphne said. “It’s a great way to bond and unwind.”

A Life of Balance and Joy

Even as a public figure, Daphne values spending time at her beautiful Florida home with her loved ones. “A perfect weekend for me involves cooking a delicious meal together, enjoying it as a family, and then curling up on the couch to watch a favorite movie,” she shared. “We snack on buttery popcorn sprinkled with nutritional yeast and maybe sneak in some peanut M&Ms. It’s all about creating those cozy, memorable moments.”
