Dennis Quaid, the Emmy-nominated actor, tied the knot for the first time in 1978 with actress P.J. Soles. Their marriage lasted until 1983, but it wasn’t the only chapter in his romantic life. Five years later, Dennis found himself working alongside Meg Ryan on the set of the thriller D.O.A. Sparks flew on set, leading them to pursue a relationship that culminated in marriage in 1991. They welcomed their son, Jack Henry Quaid, the following year. Unfortunately, their journey together ended in divorce in 2001. But Dennis wasn’t done searching for love yet.

Dennis Quaid’s heart was captured the moment he met Laura Savoie, a woman 39 years his junior. In a candid interview with The Guardian in November 2019, Dennis addressed the critics of their significant age gap.

"I didn’t go out looking for someone younger than me. I met her at a business event, and the relationship just developed naturally," Dennis explained. "You have no control over who you fall in love with. Falling in love doesn’t come easy for me, but I can’t let what a few people think control all that. I’ve been married three times, and I know this is the final one. I feel like I’ve finally found a real partner in life."

Laura, a PhD student at the University of Texas at Austin’s Red McCombs School of Business, previously attended the University of Notre Dame to earn her first master’s degree. Prior to that, she graduated at the top of her class from Pepperdine University in 2014, according to her LinkedIn profile. Dennis popped the question in October 2019 during a vacation to Hawaii.

"It happened on the very northernmost point of Oahu, at Turtle Bay. It was kind of spontaneous," Dennis shared with Extra at the time. "It was a complete surprise for Laura. I had the ring in my pocket... It was a plan I’d been thinking about for about a month and a half. I wanted it to be private, just between us."
