At 54, Julie is not only a beloved actress but also a mom of three, and she’s been navigating the dating world with her own set of rules. Interestingly, she mentioned that she and Sofia, who is 52, don’t set each other up on dates. Why? Well, it’s all about knowing what works for each other.

“She knows better and I know better,” Julie said in the interview. “She knows that I like the sort of odd ones, the quiet ones, the ones that don’t go out, you know, they’re not usually at the center of the party.”

Julie went on to explain that Sofia is always the life of the party and that she’s an incredible person. “She’s so devoted to her family. You go to her house, and there’s always a family member there. You go on a trip, you go anywhere, there’s always family. So if you want to date Sofia, you got to date the whole package,” Julie shared.

And it’s not just about family; Julie added, “She’s truly the most generous, kind, funny person I’ve ever met. But I don’t know any dudes who are strong enough for that.” It’s clear that Julie has nothing but admiration for her friend, and she’s not shy about expressing it.

Sofia Vergara Talks Relationship Status

In a separate but equally interesting interview, Sofia opened up about her own dating life. The Griselda star, who has been spotted with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman, clarified her relationship status. “Totally. Actually, I was talking yesterday about it because now I’m single so … kind of single. [Laughs.] Anyways,” she said.

Sofia also shared her thoughts on dating in different cities. “I feel like there’s a more diverse group of people in New York than in L.A. because most of the people are in the entertainment business. Here, you have people from all over the world — architects, writers, actors, businesspeople,” she added.

Julie’s Love Life and Motherhood

Julie also spoke about her own dating life and how it intertwines with her role as a mother. The Happy Gilmore actress said that she has not introduced any suitors to her three kids, Oliver, John, and Gus, whom she shares with ex-husband Scott Phillips.

“I have still never introduced them to anybody that I have dated … how many people have you been 100 percent confident about in your life?” she explained. “The minute you’re like, ‘I’m dating this person,’ the boys are like thinking about my mom doing sex stuff. They don’t want to think about that with married parents, right? That’s gross to people who aren’t married.”

Julie previously opened up about raising her three teenage boys at home, revealing that they do not talk to her about girls. “I have a lot of purposefully scattered about the house books that are informational about sex, drugs, what to avoid, how to not get people pregnant, not get diseases,” she said during an appearance on Today on September 12.
