Andrew also chimed in, saying, "We’ve learned from experience, so this season finale is crafted with the possibility of it being the series finale in mind. Whether or not this is truly the end, we wanted to go out with a bang. We’re not wrapping everything up neatly; instead, we’re leaving things open-ended, giving fans the chance to imagine what could happen next for the 20-Squad."

Shemar Moore Isn’t Ready to Say Goodbye to S.W.A.T.

While CBS has made its decision final, star Shemar Moore isn’t giving up hope just yet. He’s determined to save the show, just like he did twice before. "The S.W.A.T. family isn’t done yet. We’re still chasing bad guys, whether it’s by helicopter, motorcycle, or car. We’re not done blowing stuff up and delivering the action fans love. But if you force us to wrap it up, we thank you," Shemar said in an Instagram video from March 2025.

"To CBS, if this is really the end, I understand it’s about the business, the optics, and the politics. But I truly believe this isn’t the right decision. If this is it, then I genuinely and honestly say thank you. But hey, Netflix, if you're listening, give us a call," he added.
