“Getting to the hospital was a real challenge because we were deep in the jungle, miles away from civilization,” Martin recalls to Closer.

“Janet was running down the hospital corridor as I lay on a gurney, being wheeled inside. I looked up and saw her face. She leaned down and whispered, ‘It’s only a movie, babe. Please, it’s only a movie!’” Those simple words became a lifeline for Martin, a reminder that no matter how intense things got, they were just actors in a story. Life was far more important.

Martin and Janet Sheen: A Love That Stands the Test of Time

That moment in the jungle became a turning point for Martin, now 76, as he faced not only his own health struggles but also the challenges of raising his family, including his famous son, Charlie Sheen. Life threw curveballs, but Janet was always there, standing by his side.
